Happy New Year!

Winter is here and this week’s look is giving wintertime vibes. Since relocating back to NYC, the colder weather has permitted me to tap into my winter. This week, I utilized winter colors like gray, green and blue to create a classy wintertime look.

As usual, let’s kick it off with the centerpiece of this week’s ensemble--the outerwear. This faux shearling coat favors a teddy bear coat and is intended to fit slightly oversized. It is a great winter wardrobe addition as it's midweight, longline length + fuzzy texture will keep you warm and covered for the colder weather. Next, it's mint color is absolutely gorgeous and delicate enough to add a soft/sophisticated layer to any look. Shamelessly, I can find any reason to wear this mint blue faux shearling coat because it is an obvious gem + statement piece.

Now onto the geometrical knit co-ord set. I swear by co-ord sets, as they do the work of creating an outfit for you. Specifically, this set was full of personality. The juxtaposition of the colorful geometrical pattern paired with the top and bottom’s loose fit created an eclectic but chic tomboy aesthetic. This is precisely why I love fashion because you can combine different concepts from the formality scale to achieve a desired look.

This week’s style tip is: Darker colors are traditionally worn during this time of year. However, this season, consider expanding your winter color palette to incorporate colors like blue, green, and gray to elevate your wintertime aesthetic.
