Sweater Weather

Emerson NYC

Time to pull out your rib knit turtlenecks, and cashmere cardigans because sweater weather is here.  This week’s look is giving breakfast dates + Sunday errands vibes. This week’s drip recipe includes a dash of dark colors, a sprinkle of warm colors, and two tablespoons of texture to achieve a classic fall look.

This H&M chartreuse cropped chunky turtleneck is one of my favorite cooler weather pieces for many reasons. Firstly, its warm and vibrant color, chartreuse. Chartreuse is the color between green and yellow and lives in the warm color family. Next is the fit, the bulky but cropped top gave me the best of both worlds-- warm but slightly edgy. The combination of color, fit, and, texture makes this garment a 10/10 for style comfort, and personality.

Faux leather pants are a hot commodity this year and I am no longer complaining about it. Despite my initial reluctance to incorporate more faux leather into my wardrobe, these Zara burgundy faux leather pants is a new addition to my starting line-up. I love the fit of these pants, especially for the winter. Normally, faux leather pants are tight-fitting however, the fit of these trousers is loose enough to fit a set of tights or long johns underneath. Which is perfect for people who live in regions that experience winter and fall weather where wearing multiple layers come in handy.

My love for comfortable platformed shoes + the current chunky heel trend make this shoe an A++ in my book. Not to mention, the cheetah print accent adds a funky twist to the traditional slip-on loafer. If you are looking to add new footwear to your wardrobe, consider adding loafers. They are comfortable, easy to style, and can be worn with formal or casual wear.
